Integrity Matters: Winning the Future demonstrates how, in the face of political uncertainty, the majority of non-state actors continue to move forward with their climate commitments, credible voluntary standards are helping to drive integrity, and national climate policies directed at moving companies and institutions along credible net zero pathways are multiplying.

The report documents both momentum and headwinds. It highlights how the efforts of tens of thousands of mayors, business leaders, and investors have driven meaningful action, even as geopolitical tensions and direct obstruction by the fossil fuel industry threaten progress.

Building on HLEG’s original ten recommendations to end greenwashing and set a high bar for credible net zero commitments, Integrity Matters: Winning the Future concludes with six Calls to Action for non-state actors to drive meaningful climate action in the decade ahead.
